Longtime supporters of President Barack Obama, the music mogul and wife Beyoncé even hosted an NYC fundraiser for the POTUS this month, pulling in $4 million for his reelection campaign. But despite being an outspoken Obama booster, Hova has no plans to throw his hat in the ring. "I don't even like the word politics," Jay told MTV News. "It implies something underhanded, and I think we need less government." Why is the rapper-turned-entrepreneur, who has succeeded in so many venues — signing up-and-coming singers, designing duds for his fashion brand Rocawear, and even recently bringing NBA franchise The Net to Brooklyn — staying out of the political arena? Because most of the players are self-serving, said Jay. "To be honest with you, I think a lot of people are serving their own agendas, so they just argue back and forth and they think about their next term," he told MTV. "And it's more about themselves than about the people. They're servicing the people, but we rarely get anything done because they're going back and forth with whatever they're doing, so I'm not really into politics." Nevertheless, when he comes to the man in the White House, he's still pushing for four more years. "I support Barack because I gotta respect that sort of vision," he explained. "I gotta respect a man who is the first black President ever.
